2021 IVSA Conference Registration

Registration now closed.

The 2021 organizing committee has established this year’s registration fees on a three-tiered structure designed to maximize and diversify conference participation. Here is the schedule of fees for this year’s event:

Tier 1 $130 USD (members with institutional support or sufficient means
Tier 2 $50 USD (members without institutional support)
Tier 3 Free (members that are unemployed, students, retired, or experiencing precarious financial circumstances)
Rolled over please select this if you paid for 2020 and had instructed us to Roll Over your conference fee

We respectfully encourage members with institutional support or sufficient private means to support the IVSA as a non-profit association by paying the Tier 1 fee. In the interests of equity, we hope the full-fare payments will offset the loss of revenue that results from offering the conference experience to members who ordinarily would not be able to attend.

Our decision to adopt this model reflects our desire to increase the conference’s demographic inclusivity, geographic reach, and overall accessibility. As compared with past years’ gatherings, this fee structure makes our 2021 conference much more affordable for a far greater number and significantly wider spectrum of visual scholars, artists, and activists.

Registration is now closed.

We are very excited to be developing an innovative, compelling, and highly memorable virtual conference for IVSA members. As much as we all would love to be convening for an in-person conference, we’re eager to seize this moment as an opportunity to create an experience that is uniquely positioned to capitalize on virtuality and engage a more diverse and far-reaching array of participants than ever before. We hope you share our enthusiasm!

If you have any questions about the conference or registration please contact the conference team.
